About CrossFire Media Player
Crossfire is a media player client initially written for the Apple iPhone/touch but now supports a whole range of mobile/desktop devices and browsers.It has support for streaming, browsing and searching music. What is CrossFire? Crossfire allows you to browse, search and stream music from Firefly Media Server (http://www.fireflymediaserver.org/) to a single or multiple device(s).The platform provides webclients for all types of devices and aims to be as sophisticated and extendible as creativity allows within the limits of the browser. Its main goal is to support a wide range of devices such as mobile phones, pda's and of course desktop systems.
Developers can easily add device support, or extend current functionality by creating and editing so called 'device-templates'. By default CrossFire supports Desktop systems running FireFox 2+, IE5+, Safari and the following mobile devices: Apple iPhone (Firmare 2.0 and higher), Apple iPod (Firmare 2.0 and higher), Nokia N880 and WindowsMobile 5 with Opera browser (untested) Features
